Scope of Work
The security control booth located at the entrance of Karabük University – TOBB Technical Sciences Vocational School suffered from thermal comfort issues due to excessive glazing areas and high interior ceiling height, resulting in inefficient heating during cold weather conditions. Following on-site analysis, the upper glazed sections were internally enclosed using insulated gypsum board wall systems, and a suspended ceiling with integrated insulation was installed to reduce interior volume and improve thermal performance. The intervention focused on enhancing user comfort while maintaining the existing structure.
♦ On-site assessment of thermal comfort and heating inefficiencies ♦ Analysis of excessive heat loss caused by large glazed surfaces and high ceiling volume ♦ Interior modification of upper glazing areas using insulated gypsum board wall systems ♦ Reduction of interior volume through suspended ceiling installation ♦ Integration of thermal insulation within suspended ceiling construction ♦ Improvement of indoor comfort and energy efficiency for daily use ♦ On-site coordination and supervision of implementation works
