Scope of Work
A modern façade redesign was commissioned for the entertainment complex “Esperanza” located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The existing building retained its original façade from approximately twenty years ago, which no longer met contemporary expectations in terms of material quality, aesthetics, or urban identity.
The primary objective was to create a contemporary and distinctive architectural expression capable of standing out within Almaty’s rapidly evolving skyline while projecting a forward-looking design approach. To respond to the client’s economic expectations, the façade was conceived as a unified shell structure. The design interprets the façade as a surface being deformed by a dynamic mass emerging from within, generating movement and spatial tension. These formal movements were developed through a parametric façade design methodology, resulting in dynamic surface articulations that reflect the energetic character of an entertainment complex.
