Scope of Work

This residential complex was commissioned for a development site owned by Yıldırım İnşaat in the 100. Yıl District of Karabük. The project consists of three residential blocks developed in response to the client’s requirement of four apartments per floor.

The design approach focuses on transforming a dense residential program into a balanced and readable architectural composition. The apartment layouts were organized to create a spatial configuration that visually breaks down the overall building mass, allowing each façade to be perceived as composed of smaller volumes rather than a single heavy structure. This strategy minimizes the bulky effect typically associated with multi-unit floor arrangements while improving orientation and façade articulation.

The façade design reinforces this concept through material expression and contemporary detailing. Rheinzink wall and roof cladding were combined with brick/klinker surfaces and point-fixed glass balcony parapets to establish a dialogue between traditional and modern architectural materials. Beyond functional and aesthetic concerns, the project aimed to introduce a different architectural perspective to local residential developments by encouraging alternative spatial layouts and the use of modern material solutions. The intention was to create a contemporary residential identity capable of setting a new reference for aesthetic quality within the regional housing context.
